We want
to shepherd children and their families to know and love the
Lord Jesus as Savior, to grow in Christ-like character, and
to learn to serve with their gifts and good works in His Kingdom.

We accomplish
our vision through teaching the Bible, training and encouraging
the children in worshiping Jesus Christ, gently challenging
them in their walk with the Lord, and by providing opportunities
for involvement in service to others.

|
Child-targeted
- We target our ministry to reach children at their developmental
abilities and interests. |
|
|
Relational
- We relate and not just inform. We want to mentor children
through transparent lives, Christ-like character, and loving
relationship. |
|
|
Empowering
- We disciple children to minister fully in the church body.
We believe God speaks both to them and through them. |
|
|
Partnering
- We encourage and mentor parents to fulfill their God-given
authority and responsibility as shepherds of their children.
|
|
|
Committed
to Quality - We give children our best. We prepare faithfully
and commit to excellent training and development. |
|
|
Safe
- We implement procedures to ensure physical and emotional
safety of our children. |
|
|
Fun!
- We want the church to be one of their favorite places. |

Nursery
is provided for newborns through three year olds. Our goal is
to develop a relationship with the children and their parents.
We offer a warm, loving place for the children. We pray for
each child as we hold them or play with them. A system is in
place if we need to contact the parent during the service. Nursery
is offered during the Sunday School hour and also the morning
Worship Service.

Sunday
School
Sunday
School classes are for ages four to kindergarten, grades 1st
to 3rd, and grades 4th to 5th.
Preschoolers
Children age four through kindergarten participate in worship
during the Sunday morning Worship Service and then go to their
class where they are taught Biblical truths through stories,
answering questions, and actively participating in hands on
experiences that impart the learning principle of the day to
the child.
KIDS
Church
Kids In Divine Service (KIDS) is for children from 1st through
5th grade and happens during the Sunday morning service after
corporate worship. During the teaching time our goal is to help
the children become active in their faith, learn to love Jesus,
and to love and serve others. Using large and small group teaching
activities, that are age appropriate and Biblically-based, we
help the children to come to know Jesus with head and heart.
We also
help them grow in their prayer life so they will be able to
express their thoughts and feelings to Him in their own words
and be able to listen to and obey His voice. We encourage them
to respond with reverent and joyful obedience to the call of
God on a daily and life long basis, from obeying a parent to
hearing a call to take the gospel to a foreign land.
Immediately
following KIDS Church is "community time" for the
children. This is a time of games and snacks where they can
build relationships and to learn to interact in healthy ways
with others.

| Service
Projects |
|
We
want our children to model Jesus by serving the community.
On the first Sunday evening of
the month the children go on different service projects.
These projects are facilitated by adults and assisted in
leadership by 6th-8th graders
who are empowered and equipped to lead the younger children.
Different projects have been to visit and play games with
the elderly residing in assisted living facilities, play
with children of mothers that have been victims of domestic
violence, and make and collect food for local
food pantries.

| Fall
Festival |
|
|
The
Fall Festival is a family outreach event held each October
where we invite families from the surrounding neighborhoods.
We enjoy
games, food, and fellowship in our back parking lot which
is transformed into a festive and fun place. We
want to share Christ's love with our neighbors in
a friendly, no strings attached way. The entire church
is involved in reaching out and serving
our neighbors.
