The Adult Education Ministry of Maple Ridge Community Church offers Sunday morning classes for adults beginning at 9 a.m. Child care is provided. Information about current courses is available below.

The vision of the Adult Education Ministry is to glorify God and advance His Kingdom by providing Bible-centered teaching and resources that point non-believers toward Christ and help believers better understand and live out Spirit-filled lives.

To this end, the ministry continuously seeks the Spirit's discernment and empowerment in selecting and equipping teachers, creating and developing curricula, and teaching God's truth in classes. Our goal is to provide introductory and advanced education--to lay a wide and solid biblical foundation for faith and to challenge people to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Sunday morning courses fall broadly into five areas:

  • Bible studies, based on a book, theme, or person from the Bible. Recent examples have included courses on Mark, the parables of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
  • Lifestyle issues, courses that apply biblical principles to practical areas such as marriage and relationships, child-raising, finances, and time management.
  • Current issues, courses that focus the Word of God on topics of social or cultural interest such as public education, the influence of the media, and the relationship of the church and state.
  • Book-based studies, which typically center on a Bible-based book. Recent examples have included The Pursuit of God, by A.W. Tozer, and The Acts of the Holy Spirit, by A.T. Pierson.
  • Miscellaneous courses on topics related to the history of Christianity, topics in Bible study, and the Christian & Missionary Alliance.

During 2009, we will not be holding Sunday Adult Education morning courses.
