We want
to provide a community environment where newcomers are warmly
received; where they can establish meaningful relationships
and have many opportunities for personal growth, equipping for
ministry and service to others.

Relationships
are a priority. Healthy churches value relationships. The
importance of building strong relationships is imparted and
taught from the top down. Our leaders endeavor to model and
communicate this value so that it is lived out in the congregation.
Establish a grace
filled community. Everyone longs to belong. There is not
a better place to belong than to a church where the truth and
grace of Jesus Christ are lived out in relationships to one
another. New people are powerfully and more effectively assimilated
into the life of our church when they themselves experience
the joy and fulfillment of this kingdom reality among us. This
requires a commitment to live out not only the provision and
the demands of the cross but to also to walk in the joy, freedom
and enabling of the Holy Spirit. It means we cultivate a corporate
atmosphere of active love and acceptance of the individual and
to provide a place for that person to have the freedom to try
and to fail in their attempts to mature in Christ. We want people
who have been enfolded into Maple Ridge to be the best advertisement
for the Kingdom of God and this local church community.

Develop relevance
and compassion. We strive to be culturally relevant from
our facility to our ministry. We continually look for ways to
make our ministry current and compassionate to those whom the
Lord is sending us without compromise to the gospel, to the
requirements of discipleship and to the vision and mission of
our church.
Membership with
an "inviting" mentality. This means that the people
of our congregation are motivated to invite and include new
people into their lives and the life of the church.
Promote newcomer
functions. People who visit Maple Ridge are searching. They
may readily respond to events and functions designed to help
them familiarize themselves with the church and to help them
build friendships and get involved.

The purpose of the
Discovery Class is four-fold:
Designed
for persons new to Maple Ridge, Discovery is a great place to
meet new people and interact with members of the pastoral staff
and others in church leadership. Discovery Class is taught by
the Senior Pastor and is offered twice a year during the 9:00
a.m. Sunday School hour.

Network:
God's Design for You in the Church helps people find a place
of fruitful and fulfilling service at Maple Ridge Church. Network
presents a comprehensive approach including discovery, consultation,
and service. It will help you identify your God-given passion,
spiritual gifts, and personal style. At the end of the eight-week
class, you will have a personal consultation with church leaders
to help you evaluate what you have learned about yourself and
where you could possibly fit ministry wise in the church body.
Network is taught by the Administrator and is offered twice
a year during the 9:00 a.m. Sunday School hour. One must complete
the Discovery Class before enrolling in Network.
