The
vision of the Women's Ministry is to be a community of women
who have opened their hearts to God and to each other. To be
women who give themselves to becoming like Christ in serving
the Body, expressing their spiritual gifts (in large and small
ways), and extending themselves to the lost.

Facilitates
God's work in the lives of the women of the church by providing
a means through which they can grow spiritually and become equipped
to serve Him. This ministry also functions to bring unity among
the women in the Body through offering opportunities for fellowship.

This
yearly event is offered to the women of Maple Ridge as a way
to get away from the daily routine and have the opportunity
to reconnect with the Lord and with each other. The weekend
includes planned times of worship, Bible study, and interaction
with other women in group settings. There is also ample time
made for quiet reflection, fellowship and taking advantage of
the beautiful setting for the retreat at Tecumseh Leadership
Center. Mark your calendar to join us on April 24& 25,
2009 for a refreshing time together.

An ongoing ministry
at Maple Ridge, this program is designed for women to develop
a deeper more meaningful relationship with God and with another
sister in Christ. Women who are paired up will meet regularly
with one another for at least one year. Each relationship will
have its own unique characteristics but teaching, modeling,
prayer and God's Word are its common threads. If you desire
to participate in this program either as a mentor or a mentoree,
please contact the church office.

Hannah's Gift
This Bible study taught by Lydia Strong will look at the story
of Hannah and how she asked for and received from God the gift
of a son, Samuel. And even more, how the record of this woman's
life and her personal relationship with God is a gift to us.
Join in looking at how Hannah and others in scripture dealt
with life issues including the popular culture of their day;
shame and guilt; misunderstanding with authority figures; vows
they made; and labels which other people attached to them. The
study will be held on Thursdays, September 11 through November
20, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Kids' Church Room. Sign up at
the Welcome Center.
Captivating
At the same time that Hannah's Gift is being offered this fall,
a select group of women will be joining Babby Porter as she
leads them on a journey into the deep mysteries of the feminine
soul in order to recapture the heart. Through teaching sessions
lead by Stasi Eldridge, author of Captivating, small group times,
and guided periods of reflection and journaling, these women
will be invited to take the risk of coming alive as God's captivating
woman.
Christmas Outreach
Event
Christmas, the season of gift giving, hope, and love. A wonderful
time to offer the greatest gift we've been given to the needy,
hurting people around us. Plan to invite a friend to join
you on Saturday, December 6 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship
Hall for a Christmas Brunch and to hear about "..the
gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus..." (Roman 6:23)
Hearing God's
Voice
Early in 2009 we will do a study on Hearing God's Voice.
The Lord desires to speak to us personally. This study will
guide us in learning how to tune our hearts to hear Him so we
are drawn into a closer, more intimate relationship with Him
that deepens our desire to serve Him faithfully.
Café Worship
Night
"Come,
let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock
of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and
extol him with music and song. Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the LORD our Maker."
Come and join us
on Friday, February 20 at 7:00 p.m. as Ashley Brown leads
in seeking our Father's face, in knowing of His love for us,
and in giving Him the worship that is due Him.
