Worship
Pastor Ministry Description
We are currently
searching for a Worship Pastor. This staff position could
start out as part or full-time. If you are interested

Primary
Areas of Responsibility
- To lead
Maple Ridge Community Church into an active life of
worship of the Lord Jesus Christ by cultivating, through
every area of influence and ministry opportunity, a
personal and corporate heart of worship to God in Spirit
and in truth.
- To develop,
oversee and lead the ministry of worship and music.
- Lead
and coordinate corporate worship in the major services
of the church (i.e. Sunday morning, congregational
prayer, Christmas Eve, etc).
- Lead
and coordinate worship in church sponsored conferences
and community events (i.e. Concerts of Prayer, National
Day of Prayer, Pastor Retreats, Evangelistic outreach,
etc.).
- Lead,
recruit, develop and provide training for music/worship
teams at Maple Ridge. This may include youth and
children's ministries.
- Help
provide pastoral care for adult music/worship teams.
Secondary
Areas of Responsibility
- Dependent
on the availability, interest, talent and spiritual
gifting.

and preaching opportunities.

Personal
Qualifications
- Clear conversion
to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- Obvious
evidence of regeneration and growing Christlike character
- Skilled
musician with proficiency in keyboard and/or guitar
- Experience
leading corporate worship and worship teams
- An appreciation
of and an ability to weave traditional hymnody and contemporary
songs together for corporate worship
- An appreciation
for and an ability to utilize various creative aspects
of worship both traditional and nontraditional to enhance
the expression of corporate worship to God
- Demonstrates
a mature ability to work closely with the Senior Pastor
and staff in planning and coordinating primary and secondary
responsibilities
- Team player
- Demonstrates
a commitment to and an excellence in relational and
leadership skills, group dynamics and conflict resolution
- Must be
in agreement with the vision, doctrine and philosophy
of ministry and worship at Maple Ridge Community Church
