Our vision for our Youth Ministry is to encourage and enable
our youth to experience Christ's transforming power and love,
so that they would enjoy other believers, grow in Christ-like
character, discover their ministry, share their faith, and honor
God with their lives.

-
Encourage
friendships among church youth
-
Develop
Christian character and practice of spiritual disciplines
-
Explore
spiritual gifts and avenues of ministry and service both within
the church and in the community
-
Train
and encourage personal evangelism and outreach
-
Foster
good decision-making based upon the Bible and a life
of spiritual worship to God

The youth Sunday School
class meets from 9:00-10:00 a.m. every Sunday for all youth
6th to 12th grade. Classes rotate through a variety of Biblically-based
topical studies including:

Girl's
Bible Study
Each Wednesday during the school year from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
the Junior High and Senior High girls meet in the Senior High
Youth Room for a Bible study.
Guy's
Bible Study
Each Wednesday during the school year from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
the Junior High and Senior High guys meet in the Junior High
Youth Room for a Bible study.
The
purpose of the studies is for fellowship, worship, community,
and personal growth in understanding and applying God's Word
to their lives.

This twelve-week study is conducted every other year with
the first six-weeks focused on foundations of the Christian
faith. Topics studied will include becoming a Christian, baptism,
following Jesus, communion, and Christian community. The second
six-weeks will introduce the youth to the specific values, ministries,
structure, practices, and leadership of Maple Ridge Community
Church and it's connection to the Christian & Missionary
Alliance denomination.
Each
month group-wide events are held to bring the youth together
outside the typical church setting. A variety of events are
designed to fulfill three purposes:
-
Develop
friendships and community through fun activities
-
Invite
and welcome non-churched friends to the group
-
Serve
the church and community

Junior High Trip
2009
Our Jr. High group will be going to Tunica, in northwest
Mississippi from May 30 - June 5. This area is the third largest
casino gambling location in the country, and thus is plagued
by many social problems. The youth will spread the Good News
of Jesus through VBS, evangelism, prayer walks, and service
and construction projects.
Senior High Trip
2009
Our Sr. High group will be going to Jamaica from July 4
- 13. The youth will help families in local communities who
are poor materially and spiritually. Their days will be divided
between construction, evangelism, prayer, and children's ministries.
Both mission trips are in partnership with Adventures In Missions,
a ministry specialized in facilitating youth trips.
